Jags sign Williams

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed offensive tackle Mike Williams to an undisclosed contract on Tuesday.

Williams, 26, spent the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills. Last season, he played in nine games, starting five times. He was released on February 23.

"I am very happy to be here in Jacksonville. It’s great to know that the Jaguars wanted me as a free agent and I have found a home here. I am very familiar with the city and I have friends here," Williams said. "My goals in Jacksonville are to become the dominant offensive tackle that I know I am and in the process help this team win games."

Williams has started 47 of his 51 career games with 46 starts at right tackle. He was originally the fourth overall pick of the 2002 NFL draft by the Bills out of Texas.
